Engineering Site Leader - Salary £55-£65K based Gloucestershire
Qualifications and experience needed by applicants: -
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or qualified to an equivalent level
Proven track record of collaboration / team building
Demonstrated ability to continually improve
Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
Demonstrated ability of analytical & problem-solving skills
Industry experience in hydraulic actuation and/or landing gear systems
Significant experience/training with six sigma problem-solving methodology

Role Summary/Purpose : The ideal candidate will possess the unique ability to balance real-time, sometimes critical, customer facing issues along with the ability to create an engaging & collaborative engineering team. The right candidate will strive to resolve issues impairing the operations/fulfillment teams’ ability to deliver while maintaining sound engineering decision-making fundamentals.

Essential Responsibilities : - Ownership for sustaining budget and overall customer experience, internal & external
Direct management site-based sustaining & product improvement team
Strong dotted-line management responsibility for 30-50 site-based engineering resources
Develop strong peer-to-peer relationship with site functional leadership (Plant Manager, Finance Leader, EHS Leader, Facilities Manager, Quality Leader, etc..)
Create a culture of engagement & execution
Proactively engage other functions to facilitate teamwork & remove barriers to effective teamwork.
Coach/mentor site engineering team
Create excitement around Aviation Purpose
Frequent communication in various forums
