Qualifications and experience needed by applicants
MSc, PhD or strong academic background in maths, science, engineering or equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
Interest in maths modelling and analytics
Experience of algorithm design, prototyping and validation
Strong OO experience, preferably either MATLAB or .NET
Interest in advanced data-mining and data-analysis for decision support
Experience and knowledge of mathematical modelling techniques pertaining to prediction, anomaly modelling, reasoning and optimisation (example probabilistic graphical modelling, statistics, or artificial intelligence)
Experience of MATLAB
Understanding of sorting and optimisation algorithms
Appreciation of computational complexity theory
Knowledge of design patterns
Interdisciplinary communication to forge connections with diverse domain specialists
