Qualifications and experience needed by applicants
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
At least 5 years experience working as an Engineering Program Leader involved in aircraft structures or systems
At least 1 year experience working with a cross-functional team of sourcing / supply chain and operations
Experience in productivity or lean manufacturing
Six Sigma experience
Understanding or experience working product cost and design to cost process and principles
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Role Summary: The Design to Cost Leader – A350 TESS demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities :
Provide leadership and technical direction to a large team for a specific program / project with significant business impact
Establish a plan / program, define objective, and identify resources and funding source
Manage the program / project, provide interim reports to customer, modify plan as required
Provide counsel to team on design practices and standards
Effectively communicate with the customer or program manager to assure a quality product is delivered
Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives
Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise
Involvement in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy
