CATIA V5 Designer, based Portsmouth an initial 6 months contract rate £25 ph
Qualifications and/or Skills:
Essential:    HNC in Mechanical Engineering with a good Engineering or equivalent
Good communication skills at all levels.
Knowledge of VPM and SPRINT PDM system.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Good working knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D drafting within CATIA V5 design environment.
Demonstrable experience of design of coax and/or waveguide routings.
Creation of models and drawings for both details and assemblies.
Aerospace experience, mechanical design
Outline Job Profile:
1.) Design of coax and/or waveguide routings. Training will be given in the use of CATIA V5 wave guide and tubing workbenches etc.
2.) Creation of models and drawings for both details and assemblies.
3.) 3D Solid Modelling.
4.) 2D Detailing.
Training will be given for suitably qualified and experienced personnel, and is expected to last for up to two weeks.  Training will take place on normal working days for which flat rate is payable.  After training is complete the contractor may be required to will work shifts.  Shifts will be 06:00 to 14:00 hrs and 14:00 to 22:00 hrs. For this shift pattern a 20% up lift will be paid, however, this pattern would restrict the number of working hours to 37 per week.  The shifts will rotate on a weekly basis. Please be aware that the shift pattern could vary and is not guaranteed.
